Christian McCaffrey was greeted with good news when he went for a second opinion on his AC joint sprain. No surgery will be needed, and this of course is what we indicated earlier in the week. We continue to believe that McCaffrey could play through this injury and likely wants to, but the team is going to be ultra conservative with their star running back because of his long-term contract. The current report says he will be back in two weeks, however I would not count on this. If the team does not want him to play with a pain killing injection, two weeks may be a little too soon for a return.
