Melvin Gordon III, the Broncos starting running back, appeared to injure his left hip on his first carry of the Week 12 game against the Chargers. By video, Gordon was tripped from behind on a run and jammed his left leg into the ground on the 12-yard run. He was slow to get up, then went straight to the injury tent. Gordon has been deemed questionable to return, but we don't expect to see him again today based on the injury mechanism.
Rookie Javonte Williams will take over the running back duties. The Broncos are down both starting tackles and their starting right guard.
Update
Gordon returned for the next offensive series, but we don't expect him to be as mobile as usual.
