Injury Advantage: Dolphins Defense Over Giants Offense
Miami has won four straight games and faces a Giants team down their starting quarterback and two starting wide receivers. Star running back Saquon Barkley is still not 100% on his surgery repaired knee and it will still take another few weeks for him to start looking like himself.
The Giants are also down two starting offensive lineman and a third, right tackle Nate Solder, is questionable with an elbow injury that popped up Friday. New York is 26th as a team in total passing yards this season and 20th in total rushing yards.
The Dolphins only key absence on defense is free safety Jason McCourty, who underwent season-ending foot surgery after suffering the injury in late October. However, rookie Jevon Holland has stepped in nicely and solidified the defense.
Expect the Dolphins to send plenty of pressure at Giants backup quarterback Mike Glennon, who was 16 for 25 for 196 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in his Week 5 start against the Cowboys.
