As the season flies we now begin Week 4 of the NFL season with the Dolphins facing off against the Bengals in Cincinnati. Miami remains the lone undefeated team in the league while the reigning runner-ups have had a tough go of it to start the year but picked up their first win of the season against the Jets last week.
The Sunshine State Porpoises won a tough, humid battle against the Buffalo Bills and will now play a tough Cincy team having practiced little due to the short week. The team also used their limited practice days to recover as many Dolphins were still feeling the effects from the hot weather.
Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will reportedly play through his back and ankle injuries, but will likely be less than 100% on a short week.
WR Jaylen Waddle (groin) and LT Terron Armstead (toe) are listed as questionable but will play through their ailments. Waddle's groin issue is something to monitor for speedster but the wideout is like dealing with a minor issue.
Armstead posted three straight DNPs which seems worrisome, but the stud has nursed this issue for the last few weeks and played through.
We do hold concerns for elite CB Xavien Howard who played through a groin/glute injury Week 3. Although likely to play, he will be less effective on a short week as he has less time to recover.
The Ohio Tigers come into the game with few injury issues on offense but will need to deal with the recent loss of big money DT D.J. Reader.
Reader missed most of the first year of his big contract after he suffered a torn quad ending his season. Last year, the tackle played extremely well in 15 regular season games, helping the Bengals defense get to the Super Bowl by stopping the run effectively. He will be out for the foreseeable future meaning the Bengals run defense will be severely effected.
New comer RT La’el Collins is nursing a back issue suffered during the offseason but has played through and there is the same expectation he will on Thursday.
The OL as a unit played much better Week 3 allowing just 2 sacks as opposed to 13 in the first two weeks.
Linebacker Germaine Pratt is expected to return Thursday after missing Week 3 due to a knee issue.
Chase Edmonds O32.5 Rushing Yards
The new free agent RB has started off mildly in Miami but faces a Bengals defense without their top run stopper. Although not utilized heavily this season so far expect the former Cardinals player to exploit the injury advantage and go over the measly number.
