Mike Evans Suffers Hamstring Injury, Downgraded to Out

Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans suffered a hamstring injury in the second quarter of the Sunday night game against the Saints, leaving Tampa Bay without its top three wideouts.

Evans apparently suffered the injury with just over 9 minutes left in the second quarter. He left for a play, then returned to make a catch before exiting again a few minutes later.

He has been deemed doubtful to return.

Hamstring injuries are difficult to judge by video, but we don't expect Evans to return tonight or next week against the Panthers.

Chris Godwin suffered a right knee injury a few minutes earlier and is questionable to return.

Antonio Brown is serving a suspension and was inactive for the game, leaving the Buccaneers with Scotty Miller, Jaelon Dardon and Tyler Johnson at wideout.

Expect to see running back Leonard Fournette and tight end Rob Gronkowski soak up the extra targets in the wake of the recent injuries.

Update:

The lanky wideout has been downgraded to out just before halftime.
