Mikhail Sergachev - SIC score 10
The Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman left the February 7th contest on a stretcher by what appeared to be a gruesome ankle injury that will likely sideline him for the rest of the season.
By video the offensive minded D-man suffered a likely high ankle sprain with an associated fracture (most serve form of high ankle sprain). Unfortunate circumstances for a player in his first game back after missing the last 17 games due to a lower-body injury.
Season ending surgery is likely for one of Tampa Bay's top defenseman and power play threats. The former Montreal Canadiens first round pick has appeared in 70+ games in 6 of the last 7 years.
