Miles Sanders Leaves Game With Right Ankle Injury, Ruled Out

Miles Sanders, the Eagles starting running back, left the game near the end of the first quarter with a right ankle injury. By video, he suffered a mild inversion ankle sprain when he was tackled in the backfield by Denzel Perryman. He attempted to walk off, but fell to the ground before trainers helped him off. The team has deemed him questionable to return and we think he has a 50/50 shot to come back with his ankle taped. Rookie Kenneth Gainwell will take over at running back for Philadephia.

Update

Sanders was ruled out for the game shortly after halftime. Gainwell will continue to get carries, but has lost a fumble in the contest. Boston Scott is the third-string running back.
