Miles Sanders, the Eagles starting running back, appeared to reinjure his right ankle on a run early in the third quarter. By video, he tweaked the ankle on a cut during a 27-yard run. Sanders limped to the sideline and went to the injury tent.
We think he has a good chance to return with tape, but he appeared to reinjure the inversion ankle sprain he suffered Week 7. The question is how effective he can be in the short term and how much swelling he will face in the long term. Boston Scott and Kenneth Gainwell will handle the running back duties if Sanders can't play. The Eagles lost Jordan Howard to an ankle injury last week, but he should return next week.
Update
Sanders returned to the game on the third drive of the second half, although the Eagles look to be using a mix of running backs.
