The Bucks SIC Health Score - 88.8 enter Sunday morning’s bout with the Mavericks after most of their key contingent sat out their 153-119 loss to the Clippers.
Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, and Brook Lopez sat with their various lingering issues, while Grayson Allen and Wesley Matthews were DNP for no injury reason.
Antetokounmpo, who has not missed 3 of the last 7 games with a sore right knee, is averaging 33.6 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 5.6 assists on 61% shooting on 2 days rest this season and has only gotten more dominant as the season has gone on, even while nursing the sore knee. He is the only Milwaukee man listed on the team’s injury report.
The Mavericks SIC Health Score - 86 were lambasted by the Wizards and former big man Kristaps Porzingis, 135-103, the last time they took the court on Friday.
This will be their 3rd game in a 4-game road trip, and by far the hardest matchup on the trek. They enter with only minor depth pieces out, while Maxi Kleber is questionable to play with an ankle injury.
Superstar Luka Doncic has led Dallas in points, rebounds, and assists in each of the last 5 games, averaging 32.2 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 8.8 assists on .509/.444/.829 splits in that stretch.
Spencer Dinwiddie had scored double-digits in 16 straight games before posting 8 with 1 assist against Washington.
Potential Plays:
Mavericks +5.5 - With just a 0.01 difference in SIC scores, Mavericks matchup well health wise and should be able to cover the spread as they have been one of the best teams since the trade deadline
Dwight Powell O9.5 points - The center will likely play more minutes with Kleber potentially missing the matchup, Doncic needs all the help he can get against a stout Bucks team, has averaged 11.7 points in his last 10 games
