Dalvin Cook - RB

Dalvin Cook was our breakout/comeback player last year after tearing his ACL in 2017 and enduring a rough 2018 season. He didn't disappoint with 300 plus touches and more than 1,600 combined yards in 14 games. Cook played through a right SC joint (collarbone at sternum) injury late season and then suffered a separate left shoulder issue causing an end to his regular season, although he did return in the playoffs. There were rumors that he needed shoulder surgery, but we have not received confirmation that he has. We believe that Cook is poised to have another productive season although Alexander Mattison might rob some touches and there is still the contract concern. Those are bigger worries than his overall health.

Alexander Mattison - RB

Alexander Mattison stepped into his role nicely behind Dalvin Cook in his rookie season, but suffered what we reported as a high ankle sprain in Week 14 and missed two games. While backing up Cook, the Boise St. product rushed for over 50 yards in five of the 13 games he played. Mattison should be primed and healthy for the 2020 season, but his ultimate production may depend on the contractual situation of Cook, who is slated ahead of him on the depth chart.

Adam Theilen - WR

Adam Thielen dealt with hamstring issues and missed five games in 2019. It seemed minor but rushing back led to setbacks. After two straight years with 100 catches and 1300 yards, Thielen finished 2019 with just 30 catches for 418 yards and six scores. He will be healthy for 2020 but will now be the unquestioned number one wideout without Stefon Diggs who was traded to the Bills in the offseason. With vacant targets available, expect the undrafted wideout to swallow up as many receptions as possible with only rookie Justin Jefferson and Bisi Johnson as his main competition.
