Gardner Minshew broke his thumb on October 11th and played two games afterwards. Now following a bye week, the Jaguars have announced he will not play this week. Jake Luton and Mike Glennon will be promoted in this quarterback room, and while Minshew could probably play through, it makes sense to sit him. While stability was not an issue and he could grip the football in those two starts, it almost certainly affected his performances and letting him recover makes sense as the Jaguars use the time to see if they still want the 2nd year passer longterm.
