The Bears quarterback was replaced the end of the Sunday night game versus the Rams. The team cited a hip injury as the reason. Trubisky referred to a second quarter injury while Head coach Matt Nagy referred to a play in the fourth quarter. With 39 seconds to go in the first half, Trubisky scrambles and at the very end of the play the defender falls onto the posterior of his right hip hard enough to where he momentarily loses control of the football. On the fourth quarter play, with about 13 minutes left Trubisky is sacked by Aaron Donald, who lands on his hip area. He returns to play for two more series before being removed. There is no doubt the hip could have been bothering him but by video analysis it seems he was more hurt than injured. Based on this video analysis, I don't believe the team is lying about his hip issue but they may be embellishing as to the severity. It seems Trubisky is destined to be at least listed as limited in practice this week to reinforce the point. However I have confidence that medically he can play this week.
