Zac Gallen
Gallen left Thursday’s start with a Grade 1 right hamstring strain and was placed on the 15-day IL.

Means and Wells will undergo UCL surgery and are expected to miss the rest of the season. It is unclear if Tommy John surgery will be required.

Boston Red Sox

Vaughn Grissom
Grissom, who missed the first 32 games with a left hamstring strain, now has a right hamstring strain from Saturday’s game and is on the 10-day IL.

Chicago White Sox

Andrew Benintendi, Andrew Vaughn, Luis Robert Jr.
Benintendi is on the 10-day IL with left Achilles tendinitis. Vaughn missed Saturday’s game due to a left ring finger sprain. Robert Jr. might return from his right hip flexor strain rehab assignment on Tuesday against the Cubs.

Detroit Tigers

Kerry Carpenter, Mark Canha, Shelby Miller
Carpenter’s injury has been updated to a lumbar spine stress fracture. Canha, diagnosed with a psoas muscle strain, avoided the IL. Miller had a successful rehab outing with Triple-A Toledo.

Houston Astros

Cristian Javier, José Urquidy, Luis Garcia
Javier and Urquidy are awaiting second opinions on their right forearm discomfort. Garcia, recovering from Tommy John surgery, may soon begin a rehab assignment.

Kansas City Royals

Michael Wacha, Brady Singer
Wacha has a small, non-displaced fracture in his left foot. Singer, who missed his Thursday start due to illness, may return on Wednesday in Cleveland.

Minnesota Twins

Royce Lewis
Lewis, recovering from a severe right quad strain, will play third base for Triple-A St. Paul on Sunday. If all goes well, he may rejoin the Twins for their series opener against the Yankees on Tuesday.

New York Mets

Edwin Díaz, Francisco Alvarez
Díaz is on the 15-day IL with a right shoulder impingement. Alvarez, recovering from left thumb surgery, homered in his rehab assignment.

New York Yankees

Gerrit Cole
Cole, recovering from right elbow discomfort, threw a live batting practice session on Thursday and may start a rehab assignment as soon as Tuesday 4 June, pending confirmation.

Philadelphia Phillies

Ranger Suárez, Trea Turner
Suárez exited Saturday’s game after being hit on the hand, but X-rays were negative. Turner, dealing with a left hamstring strain, has resumed light activities, but there is no timeline for his return.

San Diego Padres

Joe Musgrove, Yu Darvish
Musgrove and Darvish were both placed on the 15-day IL on Saturday with right elbow inflammation and a left groin strain, respectively.

San Francisco Giants

Blake Snell

Reaggravated a left adductor strain on June 2 after pitching 4.2 innings. He will likely be out for an extended period, potentially a month which we expect the team to confirm after an MRI.

Gabe Speier
Speier was placed on the 15-day IL with a left rotator cuff strain on Saturday.

Tampa Bay Rays

Josh Lowe, Zach Eflin, Colin Poche
Lowe began a rehab assignment and could return Tuesday. Eflin declared himself ready to return after a bullpen session. Poche will start a Minor League rehab stint on Sunday.

Toronto Blue Jays

Jordan Romano, Alek Manoah
Romano is on the 15-day IL with right elbow inflammation. Manoah is seeking a second opinion on his right UCL sprain.

Washington Nationals

CJ Abrams, Jacob Young
Abrams was a late scratch for the second consecutive day due to a left shoulder injury. Young is out with a swollen finger, with X-rays showing inflammation.
