Injury Advantage: New England Patriots
The Bill Belichick-led Patriots have distinct health advantages on both sides of the ball. The Titans, who are already down star running back Derrick Henry, will be without key wideouts Julio Jones and A.J. Brown. Jones is on IR with a troublesome hamstring injury, while Brown is dealing with an unknown chest injury that knocked him out of Week 11.
In addition, key pass-catching back Jeremy McNichols and starting right guard Nate Davis are both out with concussions. D'Onta Foreman and Dontrell Hilliard will handle the running back duties against the 7-4 Patriots.
Tennessee also has injury issues throughout its linebacking core. Veteran Bud Dupree is on IR with an abdomen issue and his replacement at strong side linebacker, Ola Edeniyi, is questionable with a hamstring injury. Middle linebacker David Long Jr. also has a hamstring injury, but will miss the game. Jayon Brown, the starting left inside linebacker, has a quadriceps injury and is questionable for the game. Rashaan Evans, the right inside linebacker, has an ankle injury and will also miss the game.
Patriots running backs Damien Harris and Rhamondre Stevenson are both questionable for Sunday's contest, but we expect both to play. Even if neither of them play, New England has running backs who will be effective against the Titans depleted run defense.
