Julian Edelman and Josh Gordon were both injured versus the Jets. Gordon dislocated a finger on a face mask/ jersey. His fourth and fifth fingers were taped together on his left hand. Gordon was able to return to the game. I do not anticipate this affecting his ability to catch the ball and in fact he already made an incredible catch. Julian Edelman is not so lucky. He left late in the first half with what appears to be a rib/chest injury and has already been ruled out. Edleman went immediately to the locker room after the injury. He was hit by two players and folded up. By video, I do not have significant worry for internal organ damage to his liver or spleen, but my feeling is a costochondral junction injury, which can be very painful. There will be more to follow.
