The seventh installment of TNF should be much better than last week's 12-7 washout that featured just two total touchdowns. This week the Saints head west to face the Cardinals with both nursing key injuries issues on offense.
The Saints offense goes into TNF riddled with injury issues beginning at the QB position. Both Jameis Winston and Andy Dalton are nursing back issues but both should be good to go but who's starting is anyone's guess with HC Dennis Allen not naming a starter.
The WR groups health is a problem spot with Michael Thomas (foot) and Jarvis Landry (knee) not practicing meaning they will likely miss another contest. There are reinforcements coming with rookie phenom Chris Olave returning from concussion protocols.
New injuries from last week that will effect the offense are a pec injury to G Andrus Peat and an ankle injury to TE Adam Trautman.
Both will likely miss due to short turnaround leaving two new holes at key positions. TE Juwan Johnson is in line for more snaps and could be a sneaky DFS play on Thursday.
Star CB Marson Lattimore will likely miss his second straight game due to an abdomen injury.
The Red Birds suffered two huge personnel losses on Sunday with G Justin Pugh and speedy wideout Marquise Brown going down due to injury. Pugh will be down for the entire season after suffering an ACL tear while Brown will be out at least 6 weeks due to a significant foot injury.
The good news on Brown is All-star DeAndre Hopkins will return for his first game of the season after missing the first 6 due to suspension. The LG position is worse off as the Cardinals will have to rely on Max Garcia who has been up and down for most of his career.
At running back, Arizona is stretched thin with Conner likely missing another game due a rib issue. Eno Benjamin is nursing a foot issue but should play through while Darrell Williams will be sidelined once again due to a knee injury.
On defense three starters are nursing small issues with WLB Dennis Gradeck, LILB Zaven Collins and SS Jalen Thompson listed on the injury report but all should play through.
Juwan Johnson O24.5 Receiving Yards
The starting TE Adam Trautman will miss the matchup on Thursday meaning more snaps for Johnson. Johnson was able to catch 4 balls for 41 yards last week and combined with the lack of Saints WRs - take the over of the hulking TEs receiving prop.
The Cardinals are favored by 2.5 points at home and the over/under is 43.5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
