The two way forward suffered a significant left hamstring injury in the third quarter of Game 2 against the Pacers and did not return. His availability for the remainder of the series is in question (ruled out Game 6), and this uncertainty may extend even further if the Knicks advance.
The Villanova alum has been nursing a nagging foot injury for the last few games. He was listed as questionable as early as Game 3 but was taken off the injury report ahead of Game 4. After a poor showing Game 4 Brunson popped a 44-point Game 5. It appears to be a pain management issue for Brunson going forward, and while he is not in danger of missing time, his effectiveness on the court has been impacted.
Bogdanovic will undergo season-ending surgeries on his left foot and left wrist. He sustained a left foot injury during his first minute in Game 4 of the first round against the 76ers and had been playing through ligament damage in his left wrist. The absence of his sharpshooting off the bench has hurt the Knicks in recent games.
The do it all forward suffered an abdomen injury early in the first quarter and returned from the bench with a wrapped midsection. The forward looked fatigued throughout his 31 minutes in Game 6 as he tried to push through injury. With just a day in between games, according to our panel of Pro Basketball Docs we believe Hart will be hampered through Game 7 as well as he is likely dealing with a core muscle type injury. This type of issue will likely hinder his energy and overall performance in a must win game.
Analysis confirmed that the former Laker will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery to address a right shoulder dislocation and labrum tear sustained in late January. This is a difficult injury to play through effectively without risking another dislocation. Despite the severity of the injury, he is expected to be ready in time for the start of next season.
Robinson suffered a stress injury to his left ankle, which will sideline him for at least 6 to 8 weeks, ending his postseason. He is very valuable off the bench, providing great offensive rebounding, and his presence will be missed on both ends of the court.
The Knicks go into Game 6 up 3-2 over the Pacers with the next match scheduled for Friday at 8:30 pm ET.
