New York Knicks Star Julius Randle Out vs. Atlanta Hawks

New York Knicks star forward Julius Randle will miss Tuesday's matchup against the Atlanta Hawks with a sore right quadriceps tendon, the team announced.

Randle will miss his first game since January 2, when he missed two consecutive games while in the league's Health and Safety Protocols.

The 27-year-old is averaging 20.3 points, 10 rebounds and 5.1 assists this season on 41.3% shooting from the field and 30.7% from three.

His absence will likely mean extra minutes for second-year forward Obi Toppin ($3,700 on FanDuel) and more shot opportunities for R.J. Barrett ($7,200).

It will also likely create a matchup advantage for Hawks forward De'Andre Hunter ($5,000) and veteran forward Danilo Gallinari ($4,800).

Veteran big man Taj Gibson ($3,500) may be pressed into more minutes defensively, but he recently returned from an illness.

The Hawks are 3.5-point favorites in Madison Square Garden and the over/under is 226.5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
