The Week 7 edition of Thursday Night Football promises an intriguing matchup between two teams looking to build momentum as the season approaches the midpoint. The Denver Broncos head to New Orleans to take on the Saints in what could be a pivotal game for both franchises. The Broncos, under head coach Sean Payton, have struggled to find consistency, and they'll be looking to turn things around against a tough Saints team.
New Orleans has shown flashes of brilliance early this season but remains unpredictable. All eyes will be on the chess match between Sean Payton and his former team. Expect a physical, tightly contested battle as both teams aim to stay relevant in their respective playoff races.
The Offensive Line is a concern with Denver operating with a third string Right Tackle as starter Mike McGlinchey is on IR due to an MCL sprain, as is their starting Centre Luke Wattenberg due to an ankle injury.
Defensively, top Corner Back Pat Surtain II will miss the contest due to a concussion suffered on Sunday. The Broncos have two starting Linebackers on IR including Baron Browning and top tackler Alex Singleton (ACL).
On offense Quarterback Derek Carr will miss another week due to an oblique injury, wideout Chris Olave will miss the contest due to a concussion suffered on Sunday which is a concern as he has past concussion history. Speedster wide receiver Rashid Shaheed will also miss due to a knee injury.
The Saints Offensive Line continues to be an issue and their performance has dropped since losing starting Center Erik McCoy. Right Guard Cesar Ruiz is nursing a knee injury and has missed last few games, he was a DNP on Tuesday, in addition starting Right Tackle Ryan Ramczyk has been out all year. The Saints secondary is a slight concern with Strong Safety Will Harris on IR and Cornerback Alontae Taylor nursing a shoulder injury
With significant injuries to the Saints Offensive Line we expect Rattler to be under pressure all game. Top WR Chris Olave will miss as he is still in the concussion protocol, and WR2 Rashid Shaheed also looking unlikely to play or limited effectiveness if he does play after two DNP's this week.
