Nikola Vucevic, the Bulls 31-year-old center, is questionable to play against the Detroit Pistons Wednesday night with a hamstring issue.
He has not practiced since Sunday and missed Monday's game against the 76ers with what was labeled as "hamstring tightness."
Chicago head coach Billy Donovan told reporters that Vucevic's hamstring is "not a major issue."
These all point to the Bulls being cautious with the big man. If he had a strain, the team would rule him out right away and rest him for an extended stretch.
The fact that he appears to be considered day-to-day bodes well for his long-term status, but not well for his short term status.
At 39-26, the Bulls sit in fourth place in the Eastern Conference. The team is 4.5 games out of first place and 4.5 games ahead of the seventh place Raptors.
Chicago's team health score currently sits at 79.3, with the key absences of Vucevic, Alex Caruso, Lonzo Ball and Patrick Williams.
Caruso, Ball and Williams should all return before the end of the season and be able to ramp up in time for the playoffs.
The ProBasketballDocs expect the Bulls to be cautious with Vucevic ($7,700 on FanDuel) and his hamstring.
Tristan Thompson ($3,500) and Tony Bradley ($3,500) will see increased minutes until Vucevic returns to the lineup.
