Matt Paradis, the Panthers starting center, suffered a left leg injury early in the Patriots game. By video, he was blocking when he had his left leg rolled up on. He was in a pile when it happened, thus there was no clear view of the injury. Typically when linemen are rolled up on the worry is for an MCL sprain or high ankle sprain. Paradis walked off the field with heavy help from the training staff and we don't expect him to return to the game. Sam Tecklenberg will take over at center.
Update
Paradis was carted to the locker room and has been ruled out with a knee injury. The cart and quick rule out are not good signs. At this time it seems like an MCL sprain, but we did not have a clear view to determine the severity of the sprain. After the game, head coach Matt Rhule said Paradis' knee injury "appeared serious" and the center will undergo an MRI. It has now been confirmed with as an ACL tear meaning he will miss the rest of the season.
