As expected, Mahomes’ right hand injury is minor and there is no structural damage. Mahomes had X-rays on the hand which were negative. It appears to be his pinky finger which is actually less important for gripping and throwing the ball. I would expect some swelling, bruising, and possible limited practice for Mahomes this week. However, the bigger issue for him seems to be his knee. He is playing well, but still does not appear to be himself. The right knee is more important to monitor than his right hand.
