Patrick Mahomes seems unlikely to play, although the Chiefs star quarterback is listed as questionable and will test his knee pregame although its increasingly unlikely that he will play. It's not that he can't throw the ball but the issue is the risk of redislocation as he's only two and a half weeks out from his patella dislocation. As we stated from the beginning, the typical recovery is closer to three to four weeks thus next week seems more likely. Another sign is that the Chiefs activated quarterback Chad Henne to be the backup to Matt Moore going into Sunday. Mahomes seems to be progressing well and on track but that doesn't take away the need for off-season surgery as discussed previously.
