The Eagles remain one of the more injured teams this season. Their deficiencies in the defensive backfield remain constant. Ronald Darby was coming off an ACL tear and now likely to miss time with a compensation hamstring injury. Their poor pass defense grade on the Injury Index does not change as we had already accounted for his expected subpar play coming off last season's injury. Couple that with the losses up front of Malik Jackson and Tim Jernigan to foot injuries, this leaves the Eagles defense exposed in key areas. The good news, starting linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill is returning this week, but it remains to be seen if he is 100% healthy coming off a MCL sprain. On the offensive side, DeSean Jackson is destined to be out this week and we are monitoring his status with concerns of a possible sports hernia leading to surgery. On the other hand, Alshon Jeffery seems likely to return from a calf injury, but the worry is if he isn’t 100% the risk of re-aggravation is high. Offensive lineman Jason Peters should be over his illness and will be available at left tackle. The Green Bay Packers overall Injury Index health has an average B grade. Tight end Jimmy Graham (groin) returned to practice on a limited basis. He may not be fully effective come Thursday night. The Packers linebacker Oren Burks is still not available after tearing his pectoral in the preseason. Lets see if Aaron Rodgers can take advantage of the Eagles depleted secondary, as each of their opponents have in the first three weeks of the regular season.
