Philadelphia Eagles vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Injury Preview

The 2023 NFL season has brought forth an unexpected showdown between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, both of which have managed to maintain undefeated records. This surprising turn of events can be largely attributed to the resurgence of Baker Mayfield, a key factor in this intriguing matchup. While the Eagles are fervently pursuing a return to the Super Bowl, the Buccaneers are faced with the formidable challenge of exceeding the high expectations placed upon them.

Today, our focus shifts to the potential stumbling blocks that injuries may pose for both teams in their pursuit of reaching their ultimate objectives.

Philadelphia Eagles - SIC score 87.4

James Bradberry - SIC score 90

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback James Bradberry, who sat out Week Two due to a concussion sustained in the previous game, will be available to play in the upcoming game after clearing concussion protocol.

Quez Watkins - SIC score 45

The Philadelphia Eagles will be without slot wide receiver Quez Watkins in their upcoming matchup against the Buccaneers due to a hamstring injury. Watkins was unable to participate in practice throughout the week, a clear indication of the severity of his injury. In his absence, the team will rely heavily on the talents of DeVonta Smith and AJ Brown to step up and fill the void in the wide receiver position.

Reed Blankenship - SIC score 86

Despite contending with a rib injury, safety Reed Blankenship is anticipated to take the field. His promising return comes after a full practice on Friday, showcasing his determination to contribute to the team's efforts. The Philadelphia Eagles find themselves with limited depth at the safety position, having lost both of their starters from the previous season. Blankenship's return adds a much-needed boost to their defensive roster.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers - SIC Score 84.7

Carlton Davis - SIC score 78

Cornerback Carlton Davis has been contending with a toe injury, which led to his limited participation in practice throughout the week. Despite the injury, Davis is expected to take the field on Monday. However, his mobility may be hampered to some extent due to the lingering effects of the injury.

Calijah Kancey - SIC score 45

Defensive lineman Calijah Kancey has been grappling with a calf injury dating back to the early stages of training camp. Unfortunately, he has not been able to fully participate in practice since the initial injury occurred. Regrettably, Kancey experienced a setback when he reaggravated the calf injury during Week 1, which resulted in him sitting out Week 2. As the team prepares for Week 3, it is expected that Kancey will once again be sidelined, continuing his absence due to this persistent injury.

Devin White - SIC score 74

Linebacker Devin White has been a limited participant in practice all week due to a groin injury. He’s expected to play through the injury.
