He has been listed with a toe injury and has missed some practice but indeed played as we believed all along. The toe injury happened on a block in week 11, and Quinton Nelson praised Rivers for dealing with "a really bad problem with his foot". It does not surprise me one bit. That the injury is significant, but given Rivers' nature and his 230 plus game streak he was unlikely to miss any time. Fortunately, he is not a mobile quarterback so it will affect him less than others. It is on his push off side but he should have the arm strength to overcome that. The news of this really bad problem with his foot/toe is not a surprise but we continue to believe that Rivers, the man who played with a torn ACL in 2008 AFC Championship game will continue.
