ProFootballDoc: Elijah Mitchell's Knee Injury Not a Concern

San Francisco running back Elijah Mitchell missed Wednesday's practice with a knee injury he has been managing the latter half of the season.

Dr. David Chao, ProFootballDoc, said Mitchell will play Sunday and not have any limitations.

The rookie running back suffered the injury Week 13 and missed the next three games. He played Weeks 17 and 18, but missed the first practice of those weeks as well.

Mitchell has been the leading rusher in the playoffs, gaining 149 yards total in two games. The next closest active player is Deebo Samuel with 111 yards.

Samuel was not listed on the injury report Wednesday despite reportedly having soreness in his knee after taking a hit late in the win over the Packers.

On Wednesday, the 49ers activated veteran receiver Mohammed Sanu off injured reserve.

Sanu has not played since suffering a knee injury Week 9. He is a key run-blocking wide receiver and should get playing time ahead of Jauan Jennings.
