Jalen Hurts had an impressive career at Alabama and in his lone season at Oklahoma. Last year, Hurts finished second in the 2019 Heisman trophy voting and threw for a career high 32 touchdowns while rushing for another 20 scores. Hurts has enjoyed a relatively healthy college career but did suffer a 2018 high ankle sprain which required surgery. He also had a minor wrist injury in 2016 but missed no time at all. The only significant injury here is the ankle that required surgery. The tightrope ankle surgery was similar to the one Tagovailoa had as the surgery has only been used on former Crimson Tide players. As we have indicated, like Tagovailoa, Hurts should not be downgraded because of the ankle surgery regardless if the surgery is not the norm.
