Herbert participated in a healthy 2019 Oregon Ducks campaign throwing for a career high 32 touchdowns and 3,471 yards. In previous years, Herbert has had his share of injuries. He suffered a right shoulder contusion in 2018 which caused him to leave in the second quarter of a blowout win against Oregon State. In the same collegiate season, Herbert entered concussion protocol after incurring a concussion after a loss to Arizona but returned the following week. In 2017, he had a left non-throwing clavicle fracture in which he missed 5 games and threw for a career low 15 touchdowns. During his junior high school season, the Oregon native endured a leg fracture that required surgery. Like many football players, he has an injury history but none of the injuries will downgrade his draft status and Herbert will likely be picked in the first round.
