The soon-to-be-ex Tennessee Titans quarterback and top draft pick has had his history of health issues. The irony is that he was relatively healthy in 2019 but lost his job to incumbent Ryan Tannehill. Previously in 2018, Mariota suffered significant elbow issues injury which included nerve issues that affected his ability to grip the football. There was lingering numbness in the elbow throughout the season and he missed the season finale due to a cervical neck stinger. History of other more major injuries for Mariota include a broken fibula in 2016. There is no particular single injury that should prevent Mariota from landing another job but the cumulative risk will require a look from any team physician. Mariota has agreed in principle to joining the Las Vegas Raiders.
