Quandre Diggs Suffers Dak Prescott-Like Ankle Dislocation, Will Be Ready For 2022 Season

Seahawks safety Quandre Diggs suffered a gruesome right ankle injury late in the 4th quarter of today's season finale against the Cardinals.

By video, Diggs endured an apparent ankle dislocation and fibula fracture with 9:22 left in the game. He was blocked by Arizona guard Justin Pugh while trying to make a tackle.

The Pro Bowl free safety was carted off the field, and will likely undergo immediate surgery to repair his ankle.

The injury is the most severe form of a high ankle injury, a combination fibula fracture, ligament tear, and ankle dislocation similar to what Dak Prescott suffered last season.

Diggs will begin his recovery soon, and will likely be ready to go for the 2022 season. This was the final year of his current contract, so the soon-to-be-29-year-old will be a free agent this offseason.

Update

Diggs reportedly stayed in Arizona to undergo surgery on his injured right ankle. Wide receiver Tyler Lockett and some team staff members remained behind to support Diggs, who had a team-high five interceptions and a career-high 94 combined tackles this season.
