San Francisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert is reportedly heading to IR for at least 8 weeks with chipped knee cartilage. This will not end his season as this is a scope and not a full repair of the knee. Teammate RB Jeff Wilson Jr. on the other hand underwent a full on knee repair with sutures and may miss the entire season after suffering injury at the end of May. Mostert has a history of knee issues and again will miss time due to a bum knee, leaving the door open for 3rd round pick Trey Sermon, who was a surprise healthy scratch Week 1.
