Raiders tight end Darren Waller and wide receiver DeSean Jackson both missed practice Thursday, putting their statuses for Sunday's matchup against Washington in danger. Waller is dealing with a strained IT band in his left knee/hip and has not practiced since suffering the injury on Thanksgiving. Our initial thoughts were that he could play through the issue and not miss time. That still could be the case if he logs an LP or FP Friday.
Jackson's calf ailment is more of a concern. Although it is reportedly considered a minor strain, calf injuries linger and are especially worrisome in speedy wideouts. Jackson has gained momentum in the Raiders offense since joining a few weeks ago and any missed time would leave the team without a true deep threat. His downgrade from limited Wednesday to not practicing Thursday is not a good sign and we don't expect him to play Sunday.
