Darrell Henderson Jr., the Rams young star running back, missed practice Wednesday as he recovers from a strained quad he suffered against the Packers last Sunday. Although head coach Sean McVay told reporters he expects Henderson to play Sunday against the Jaguars, quad strains are concerning for running backs.
If the 24-year-old plays, he won't be nearly as mobile as usual and will likely play limited snaps. Backup Sony Michel, who has a lengthy injury history, is not capable of handling a full rushing load by himself. Michel started Week 3 when Henderson was dealing with a rib cartilage injury and played on 74% of the team's snaps. Henderson has rushed for 55 yards, 31 yards and 55 yards in his last three games. We think he will be closer to 30 yards than 50 yards against the Jaguars.
