The Los Angeles Rams lost center Brian Allen and left guard David Edwards to injuries early in the first quarter against the Jaguars. By video, Allen was engaged in a block when he was stepped on and appeared to suffer a right knee MCL sprain and a possible high ankle sprain. Allen walked off under his own power and was replaced by Coleman Shelton. He has been deemed questionable to return with a knee injury. We don't expect him to return to the game.
Edwards was hurt a few plays later and appeared to suffer a mild eversion high ankle sprain. Although the injury looked mild, it will be difficult for him to return to the game. He's questionable to return with a foot injury. Andrew Whitworth, the veteran offensive lineman, will fill in at left guard. Joe Noteboom will be serve as left tackle.
