Both Cam Akers and Malcolm Brown were injured in the week 2 win against Philadelphia. Brown had surgery on his pinky finger, but should be good to go for week 3 with a splint and tape for better protection on the fourth finger. There are minor ball handling / security and pass catching concerns so Brown’s role could alter slightly. Akers’ injury was confirmed as a rib cartilage issue, as per our in-game post. Akers is unlikely to play unless he gets a rib block injection. Given what happened to in LA to Chargers’ quarterback Tyrod Taylor on Sunday, players might think twice before proceeding with the injection.
