Rams Wideout Cooper Kupp Likely Done for Season With Ankle Injury

Cooper Kupp, the Rams’ superstar wideout, will likely miss the rest of the season with a high ankle sprain he suffered in the Week 10 loss to the Cardinals, according to the Pro Football Docs.

The Super Bowl LVI champ will reportedly undergo tightrope surgery and was placed on IR on Tuesday.

Although the surgery allows for a more reliable recovery, it does not speed up the process. Kupp will miss the minimum 4 games on IR and is unlikely to be 100% until roughly two months from now.

By video, Kupp’s injury was on the more severe side of a high ankle sprain. X-rays were negative for a fracture but it was a real worry.

The Rams (3-6) need to turn their season around to be in contention at the Week 16 mark and would likely shut him down if they are out of the playoff race.

Los Angeles heads to New Orleans this week then faces Kansas City in Week 12.

Kupp ranks second in the league in receptions this season with 75. He has gained 812 yards through the air, including 5 games above 100 yards.

He’s currently WR4 in half-ppr scoring.

Rams vs. Saints Week 11 Odds

The Rams are 4-point underdogs in New Orleans this Sunday. Los Angeles is +14000 to win Super Bowl LLVII.

Kupp’s absence could mean increased targets for Ben Skowronek and Tyler Higbee.
