Raymond Calais, the Rams third running back who was slated to make the team with Cam Akers season already over, has also suffered a season ending injury. Calais reportedly suffered a midfoot fracture which means surgery. The likely diagnosis is a Lisfranc injury, which is a severe mid foot sprain that can lead to fracture and shifting of the bones. Calais is done for the season with no chance of return but his career should not be over. The running back should have plenty of time for a 2022 come back.
