Thompson’s injury history is not significant but in a soft running back free agent market, that still may hurt him. In 2018, Thompson missed 6 games due to a rib injury. In 2019, he missed five games due to a toe injury. A fractured fibula in 2017 knocked him out in week 10 effectively ending his season. From the outside, there are no red flags in his injury history but teams will consider that he has not played a full season (Missing at least 5 games each of last 3 years) in any of the last three seasons as they make their free-agent decisions.
