Miller is a free agent and started the 2019 preseason as the Texans number one running back. He tore his ACL  Week 3 of the preseason and may have been forgotten about. It was a very early season injury which gives him a longer timeline for return however you typically have to wait till the second year after the initial injury for an athlete to reach the level he was at before the ACL tear. Of course, Adrian Peterson was an exception back when he tore his ACL in December of 2011 and was able to play in Week 1 in 2012. My best analysis is that Miller will be a later signing after teams can examine him and his knee. He may be better off with a one-year prove-it deal as he needs to return to form in the second half of the upcoming season to be in the best position to cash in on a multi-year deal in 2021.
