The Philadelphia Eagles Pro Bowl guars Brandon Brooks tore his left Achilles tendon on Monday. This is the second time Brooks has torn his Achilles. In 2018, his right Achilles ruptured in the playoff game against New Orleans Saints. Despite his quick offseason recovery last time he tore his Achilles and made it back for the first week of the 2019 season, Brooks will be done for season this time. We have long pointed out the increased risk of a second side Achilles tear (see Terrell Suggs and others). The injury occurred in the Eagles practice facilities, where Brooks was rehabbing his 2019 season-ending shoulder dislocation. This injury hurts the Eagles' offense  dramatically and will be shown in the Injury Index/Field View throughout the season.
