The Pro Bowl left tackle returned to play for the first time after a pulmonary embolism (blood clot) which threatened his career. It was great to see him back as he exceeded expectations by not splitting snaps at left tackle. He paid for this quick return, as he left the game with a calf injury. Indeed the Chargers injuries caused depth issues, which forced them to use Okung more than expected. Getting accustomed to football again, soft tissue injuries are common. Hopefully it is minor and certainly is compared to a blood clot in the lungs. I hope he can return to the field soon, but it remains to be seen when.
