The Chargers Pro Bowl left tackle began practicing last week. He’s recovering from a pulmonary embolism (blood clot in the lungs). He did not suit up and play in week seven as expected but he is expected to play week eight according to head coach Anthony Lynn . This is welcome news and overdue for the Chargers, given their injury issues, especially on their offensive line. They lost Mike Pouncey two weeks ago to a neck injury and lost guard Forrest Lamp to a broken ankle last week. I do not expect Okung to take all snaps at left tackle as he will need to work his way back into football shape. Any help is welcomed by the Chargers at this point in the season.
