Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson logged a limited practice in London on Wednesday and is reportedly on track to play Sunday against the Jaguars.
While Wilson may suit up against the Jaguars in Week 8, the Pro Football Docs are skeptical he will have full mobility.
Without the ability to escape the pocket – Wilson's main attribute when healthy – he will likely be at risk for more sacks. The Broncos are also without starting left tackle Garett Bolles, who will miss the remainder of the season after a Week 5 leg fracture.
To put it plainly, there's no such thing as a one-week hamstring injury.
Patriots running back Damien Harris played in Week 7 after suffering a hamstring strain in Week 5, but had just three carries for 8 yards.
Wilson injured his hamstring in the Broncos Week 6 overtime loss to the Chargers and head coach Nathaniel Hackett said it changed his play calling down the stretch.
Prior to Week 7, the Pro Football Docs detailed why Wilson's mobility would be limited if he played against the Jets. One extra week of rest is not likely to change that and he still carries a risk of reaggravating the injury.
The former Seahawks passer also has a shoulder/lat issue he picked up in Week 5, but that should no longer be a concern, according to the Pro Football Docs.
Third-year quarterback Brett Rypien started in Week 7 and went 24 for 46 for 225 yards and an interception. If Wilson can't play in Week 8, Rypien would likely get another start.
The Jaguars are favored by 2.5 points and the over/under is 39.5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
