The Washington Football Team will be without quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick for a hefty stretch of the season as he recovers from the hip subluxation he suffered in Week 1. Fitzpatrick will reportedly attempt to rehab the hip injury without surgery and is expected to miss about 8 weeks. When we initially saw the injury, we knew he would miss at least the Thursday Night Football matchup against the Giants. We also mentioned on the podcast that the length of his absence would depend on the MRI results. There was worry for torn labrum, bone bruise or damage to the cartilage. This was similar to the injury suffered by Tua Tagovailoa during his Alabama days, but less severe. Time will tell how the 38-year-old will recover, but it is Taylor Heinicke's team until at least late October.
