Tampa Bay Buccaneers starting center Ryan Jensen was activated Monday morning and will make his season debut in the Wild Card round matchup against the Cowboys.
By video, the Pro Football Docs were initially worried about damage to his ACL and MCL. He reportedly suffered partially torn ligaments in his knee, including his ACL.
Given that he missed the entire regular season, and the severity of his injury, the Pro Football Docs have doubts about his effectiveness against the Dallas defensive line.
Backup center Robert Hainsey is questionable for the game with a hamstring injury, which may have been a key reason why Jensen was activated for the contest.
Without Jensen this season, Tampa Bay ranked dead last rushing yards, rushing touchdowns and rushing yards per attempt.
To counter that, the Buccaneers have relied heavily on 45-year-old Tom Brady, with the most attempts in the league and second-most passing yards.
The key to the game may come down to how effective Jensen can be limiting the up-the-middle pressure.
