Update: Tannehill returned with 12:23 left in the second quarter with his ankle heavily taped.
Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill suffered an apparent right ankle sprain early in the first quarter against the Chargers.
By video, Tannehill suffered a high ankle sprain when he was rolled up on by Chargers linebacker Khalil Mack, according to the Pro Football Docs.
He walked off under his own power, but is unlikely to return. If he does return, he will have limited mobility in the pocket.
The former Dolphins passer was carted to the locker room, likely to undergo X-rays on his injured ankle. He has been deemed questionable to return.
Malik Willis will replace him if Tannehill is unable to continue.
Tannehill suffered a right ankle sprain in Week 7, but was able to return to the game. He missed the next two games.
He also suffered a mild left ankle sprain two weeks ago but didn't miss any time.
