Ashtyn Davis suffered a groin injury that required surgery which forced him to sit out of the Senior Bowl and the NFL draft combine. The University of California product was likely dealing with a sports hernia that eventually required surgery and luckily the recovery for this type of injury is pretty straight forward. However, the fact he didn’t participate in the combine could hurt his day two projections meaning he could fall as low as the third round. Davis enjoyed a fine four year career at Cal making 171 tackles and 7 interceptions. He should be ready for training camp and could become a long time NFL starter if drafted into the right situation.
