Saints tight end Adam Trautman has reportedly been diagnosed with a sprained left MCL and will miss between four and six weeks. By video, initial fear was a fractured fibula, but Trautman's X-rays came back negative for a fracture. We expect the Saints tight end to return on the closer to four weeks than six weeks, leaving open the possibility that he will return before the end of the regular season. He suffered the injury on an athletic catch in the fourth quarter during the Week 11 loss to the Eagles. He is yet another on a laundry list of injured offensive starters for the Saints, including Michael Thomas, Jameis Winston, Alvin Kamara and Terron Armstead. New Orleans will likely use a combination of Nick Vannett and Taysom Hill to fill the void left by Trautman.
