Sam Darnold was thrown down on his right throwing shoulder on the sack by Alexander Johnson. He immediately grabbed his shoulder after the play, stayed in for one hand off and then exited the field. He headed to the blue medical tent but did not get examined in there as the doctor called for a locker room examination with a likely x-ray stop. By video, the hope is no clavicle fracture, and just a right AC joint sprain. Normally a player can return with an injection however that is more difficult on the throwing arm of a quarterback. Joe Flacco has entered the game until further notice. Darnold returned soon after.
